Tell us where it is, roughly how big, and what is there now.
Four things, and none of them need to be exact.
Wide enough to show the whole space, and one close up of anything that has already failed. This is the single most useful thing you can send.
Paces are fine. Length by width gets us close enough to talk about a number rather than a range.
Bare sand, an old paved surface, a concrete slab, or a pool that has just been finished. It changes the job before the job starts.
It tells us the soil, the access and whether it is a morning's drive. All three affect the day, and the day is what you are paying for.
Calls are answered on the tools, so if it rings out we are laying something and will call back the same day.
Quotes are done in person. The base is what decides the price, and nobody can see the base in a photograph.
